Amile O. Jefferson (born May 7, 1993) is an American basketball player who just completed his college career for the Duke Blue Devils in 2016–17. Jefferson grew up in Philadelphia and attended Friends Central.[1] where he was coached by Jason Polykoff. He was named a McDonald's All-American in 2012.[2] In his junior season at Duke, Jefferson was on the Blue Devils' 2014–15 NCAA Championship team.[2] He was a bench player on that team and averaged 6.4 points and 5.7 rebounds a game.[1] Jefferson scored 19 points in a road victory at Louisville and 13 points in an overtime win versus the North Carolina Tar Heels.[3] Jefferson missed most of his senior season after suffering a foot injury in December 2015. The Blue Devils lost to Oregon in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament that season.
